Subject Description: On a flat rectangular base recline a dog and her puppy, with their foreparts pointing in the same direction; the adult dog (mother?) turns her head to the right, seemingly to look affectionately at her offspring.

Condition: Intact

Condition Description: Intact, with flaking white slip.

Material Description: light reddish-brown terracotta

Collection History: Acquired by the Louvre in 1900.
