Reflect that in these men you found the most villainous of rulers; reflect that you now have the best men with you in tenure of our civic rights, in fighting the enemy, and in deliberating on affairs of State and remember the auxiliaries1 whom these men stationed in the Acropolis as guardians of their dominion and of your slavery.
