Very well. But, they will say, we may let
the son of Chabrias be robbed of the immunity which his father justly received
from you and bequeathed to him. But I am sure there is not a single right-minded
man who would approve of that. Now, perhaps you know, even without any words
from me, that Chabrias was a man of high character; yet there is no harm if I
too recall briefly his achievements.
