In order to be sick too himself, eat figs at midday.
No doubt it was; for I was sick, my friend,And Nicophon says, in the Sirens—
From eating lately figs one day at noon.
But if a man should eat green figs at noon,
And then go off to sleep; immediately
A galloping fever comes on him, accursed,
And falling on him brings up much black bile.
