Perished is Atreus' son by the hand of his wife, and she in her turn received death, in exchange for his murder, [1030] at the hands of her children. But now the god's oracular commandment has returned when the son of Agamemnon, come from Argos and standing in the god's inmost shrine, [1035] won him as an ally, his mother's blood on his hands.
