Physician
Medical Author
Brill's New Pauly: "T. Priscianus Physician, 4th-5th cent. AD, probably hailing from North Africa. A pupil of Vindicianus;
he was the author of a therapeutic compendium, only extant in Latin (Euporista, ‘Easily obtainable remedies’, around 400) in three volumes: phaenomena
(external disorders, listed a capite ad calcem, 'from head to toe'); logicus (internal disorders, divided into chronic and acute conditions) and gynaecia
(female disorders). According to the author, the work was written in Greek first and then translated into Latin in an abbreviated version prepared by the author himself....
The fragment of a work entitled De physicis and dedicated to T.' son Eusebius deals with headaches and epilepsy...."
