Tondo: a bearded man, leaning on a staff, stands before a youth in a himation. The youth carries a tortoise-shell lyre. Behind the man is a stool with cushion. The man may be a music instructor. The cup is signed around tondo with
Side A: Two pairs of seated youth and standing man, with a third standing man at right. Lyres hang in field with string bags for knucklebones, and aryballoi and sponges used by athletes. The central man offers a hare to the youth. Side B: same as Side A except one youth has hare on his lap. Palmettes by handles.
