Decoration Description:
Side A: On the left, a winged horse (Pegasos) walking toward the right. In front of the horse stands a male figure, identified as Zeus, also walking to the right and raising his hand before him. He appears to be gesturing to the next person, who stands facing him. This figure holds a trident in his right hand and is identified as Poseidon. To the right of Poseidon stands Hades, walking left and in profile. He holds something (?) in his hands. Behind him is another Pegasos, facing left.
Side B: A female figure stands on the far left; she gestures with her left hand and moves toward the right. The CVA identifies her as Demeter, while Beazley calls her a generic goddess. Hermes, wearing winged boots and carrying the caduceus, walks to the right. In front of him is a female, either Ariadne (Beazley) or Persephone (CVA), who stands in profile to the right. She is reaching out to another figure who hands her a kantharos. This figure is Dionysos, and the vine branch behind him to the far right is his attribute. Below the figural band on each side is the horizontal inscription
