Decoration Description:
Side A: Birth of Athena. Zeus seated on backless throne, facing right, with his feet on stool, holding thunderbolt in right hand. Sphinx seated frontally below throne. Athena, fully armed except for helmet, is born from head of Zeus. Eileithyia and Ares stand to right of Zeus. Eileithyia raises right hand. Ares holds shield with gorgoneion. To left of Zeus stands Apollo holding kithara, and to left of Apollo stands Hermes.
Side B: frontal quadriga. Charioteer turns to left. Eagle flies over horses.
